Wix is a capable builder — reviewers consistently rank it among the best, and its AI tools are genuinely ahead of most competitors. But the real answer to "is it worth the money?" depends on what you're actually paying. Beyond the $17–$159/month subscription sit hidden costs: app add-ons, domain renewals, payment processing fees, and professional help that can push a Wix project to $15,000 or more. And even then, you're the one maintaining it. If you enjoy building and tweaking your own site, Wix delivers solid value. If you'd rather run your business than run a website, the math changes — a done-for-you service like AI Business Sites builds your site, writes your content, and manages everything for one flat monthly price, so you're never learning another tool. The next step is simple: add up what you'd realistically spend in time and money on a DIY build over two years. If that number stings, it's worth a conversation.
